The inception of Asian American Cannabis Education can be traced back to a single inquiry that set in motion a dialogue leading to meaningful actions. It all began with a straightforward question: "Where are the Asian Americans in the cannabis industry?"
Despite being the fastest-growing racial group in the United States, Asian Americans grapple with pervasive stereotypes that range from "geisha" to "kung fu master" to "SAT nerds." We are often perceived as education-focused, diligent workers, more inclined to support than to lead, characterized as quiet individuals unlikely to make waves. However, the truth is quite the opposite: we are the trailblazers, carving out our own niche within the cannabis sector, both on the periphery and by directly engaging with the plant itself.
